“THE WORLD IN MY EYES” is my first photo project, which I created while I was studying at the Latvian Academy of Art. My idea was to develop a black and white photo series of 12 full-body portraits that were strikingly different and intricate. Young creative artists from my artistic environment at the time took part in this project. They all shared similar goals, dreams, hopes, emotions and a common view of the future and the new, wide world of art. I consciously decided to shoot the photos in black and white as they appear so much more abstract and pure. The butterflies symbolize the soul, birth, transformation, resurrection, innocence and more. You can view the original project either in one of my upcoming exhibitions of in my photo studio.
