My photo series “Under the Sky” attracted a great deal of interest, so I decided to continue the project. This time, I wanted to shoot indoors to bring a sense of visual intimacy and the atmosphere of an arthouse film. After Georg and Christa kindly agreed to collaborate with me again, I began searching for suitable locations. Fortunately, I discovered by chance that Nebra train station accommodates tourists in charmingly furnished rooms – exactly what I had been hoping to find. I met Jana Fischer, the welcoming owner of the building, who generously allowed me to use the rooms free of charge for my art project. This story speaks not only of loneliness, but also of love and hope. These are our deepest inner drives; they help us hold on to our zest for life and happiness, even in the most difficult of times.
